KJ’s ReBall Arena
FIELD SAFETY RULES and GUIDELINES
The safety rules will be reviewed prior to players being allowed to enter the playing arena. Rule reviews will start at 8:45pm and repeat every 30 minutes thereafter.
1. SAFETY
The most important rule at KJ’S ReBall Arena is that you must be safety conscious at all times. ReBall markers (guns) can be very dangerous. It is the responsibility of all players to prevent accidents and injury.
FACE MASK
A full face mask, DESIGNED FOR PAINTBALL/REBALL, must be worn AT ALL TIMES outside the staging/sitting area (in the field of play). If a player is asked to put their mask on more than ONCE, the player will be asked to leave the facility and no refund will be given. A paintball/ReBall discharge to the eye can cause serious injuring including blindness or possibly even death. Safety rule enforcement will be strictly enforced at KJ’s ReBall Arena.
Regardless of your reason for wanting to take off your mask, it is imperative to leave the mask ON!! Once you have entered the playing area, LEAVE YOUR MASK ON! If you’re waiting for the game to start, OR if the game has ended, OR if you are eliminated from play and leaving the field OR if your mask is fogging during a game, OR for any other reason while you are still in the field of play….LEAVE THE MASK ON!! If it’s that bad, that you need to remove your mask…call yourself out and exit the field, where you can safely remove your mask.
BARREL COVERS: ALWAYS ON UNLESS IN PLAY ARENA
Your barrel must remain covered at all times, except when in a game or immediately prior to a game starting (while you are in the play arena.) As soon as you are eliminated or the game is over, re-cover your barrel. Keep barrel covered in all places other than on the play field. BARREL COVERS REQUIRED, PLUGS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
SHOOTING YOUR MARKER
You may ONLY discharge/shoot your marker on the playing field, with mask ON, during a game or with the permission of a ref.
STAGING AREA / BREAK AREA
This is the only place masks may be removed. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SHOOTING IN THE STAGING AREA (outside the protective netting). BARRELS MUST BE COVERED WHILE ATTACHED TO MARKERS.
CHRONO LIMIT/PERSONAL EQUIPMENT NOTES
Markers will not be allowed to shoot more than 225 feet per second. All markers will be chronoed prior to play. Personal markers must be checked in upon arrival (you will be responsible for checking your marker speed in our shooting range. Once it is at the correct speed, you will need to bring it to the rental counter for verification. Once verified a red wristband will be applied to your marker, signifying your marker may be used during game play)
10.5 bps maximum and ramping is not allowed. .690 Barrel cores or larger and non-electric hoppers are recommended to minimize jamming.
2. RULES OF THE GAME
THE REF'S WORD IS LAW
Refs have the final say on all matters on and off the field. The refs are here to keep players safe, keep games running smoothly, and to help make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Please cooperate with the refs. There is absolutely no arguing with the refs- if you disagree with a call, you can discuss it with the ref after the game.
TIME LIMIT, OBJECTIVES
Capture the Flag and Center Flag formats are common ReBall games at KJs ReBall Arena. We also play other variations of the sport. Your ref will explain these rules to you. Time limits also vary but are usually no more than 7 minutes, allowing rapid turn-around and many games in one session. Standard game time limits are 1 minute per player on a team (5 man team = 5 minute game, etc.)
ELIMINATIONS
A hit on ANY part of your body eliminates you from the game, whether it’s your arm, little finger or big toe. A hit on your gun, ammo pack, or any other item on your body also eliminates you from play. Hits must be direct: ricochet off a bunker do not count.
WHEN HIT
As soon as you are hit, raise your hand over your head and call yourself "OUT." Get up from cover and off the field immediately; dallying will only get you hit again because other players will think you're still in. KEEP YOUR MASK ON. Talking to players still in the game is not permitted. Go directly to the front corner of your team’s side and wait for the game to end OR you may also exit through the double flap door into the staging area.
HIT CHECKS
UNLIKE IN PAINTBALL, ReBALL does not leave a visible mark outside the clothing. ReBall is an honor based sport and cheaters are not taken lightly. If a player is caught cheating (not calling themselves out when hit) on a consistent basis, the refs may (at their discretion) ask them to leave the facility, without a refund. Repeat offenders will be banned from KJs ReBall Arena.
CLOSE RANGE SHOTS
Please try not to shot opponents who are closer than 10 feet. If you find yourself within close proximity of an opponent, and they remain unaware of your presence, you must shoot from over 10 feet away, or ask them to surrender before shooting. If they refuse, you may shoot them. At the same time, please be aware that sometimes close range hits are unavoidable due to the proximity of opposing positions.
CONDUCT
Dishonest conduct and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. This includes playing after being eliminated, shooting at players after they are eliminated, talking to teammates after being eliminated, and lying about the team you are on. Conducting oneself with honor insures a positive experience for everyone. Cheaters will be eliminated from play and/or penalized a game. Chronic cheating will result in expulsion from this facility. Fighting, alcohol, drugs, weapons, and other dangerous or illegal conduct or items will result in immediate and permanent expulsion from this facility and the notification of proper authorities.
ATTITUDE
Paintball/Reball is a great adrenaline rush. This is why we play! But it can also be the reason for confusion and frustration on the field. We ask that you mentally prepare yourself now to be accidentally hit on your way off the field (several times). In addition, understand that what you think you see is not necessarily what happens. Often players are SURE they hit an opponent when in reality they missed or it bounced off a bunker. Other times, players get hit but honestly never felt it. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Assuming that others are cheating just leads to less fun for yourself, and truth is, mistakes, miscommunications, and misunderstandings far outnumber instances of real cheating. In short, "STOP YER CRYIN' AND PLAY!!"
FIELD ReBALLS ONLY
Only KJs ReBall Arena reballs may be used at this facility. Likewise, players may not bring their own fill stations.

PLAY SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
3. RENTAL TROUBLESHOOTING
The following tips can help you have a more enjoyable, problem-free experience. Above all we advise that you see a member of the staff if you have any questions or problems.
KEEP MARKER CLEAN
Keeping the barrel, breech, and feeder minimizes your marker getting jammed and loosing accuracy. Keep these areas clean.
DON'T RE-USE DROPPED OR SHOT ReBalls
ReBalls that have fallen on the floor of the playing field are not allowed to be used during a game as they might be covered in dirt or lost some of their oil. ReBalls need to be lightly oiled after each discharge or they don’t shoot as accurate and may cause a jam.
OVERSTUFFED FEEDERS
The feeder which sits on top of your marker should be kept full, but not packed tight. Leave enough room to allow the balls inside to rattle when you gently shake the feeder. Don't forget to close the lid tight!
MARKER WON'T SHOOT
The two most probable causes of a marker not firing is 1) Tank is out of air and needs to be refilled. 2) Safety lock is on and marker will not shoot until safety lock is moved to the ‘firing’ position.
MASK IS FOGGING
Use "no-fog," spray in your mask.
4. DRESS RECOMMENDATIONS
Use common sense. A direct ReBall hit on bare skin anywhere on the body can leave a welt and a good sting. Again, your mask is a MUST whenever in the field of play. The following are the basics of ReBall attire.
LONG PANTS, LONG SLEEVES
We recommend a long-sleeve shirt, military BDU shirt, over a turtleneck (or over a t-shirt if it's too hot). Also wear long pants: old jeans, or military BDU pants.
NECK, HEAD, AND HAND PROTECTION
A turtleneck or bandana are an excellent neck guard. Wear a hat, ball cap, or other head gear. For your hands, gloves are also worth wearing as a solid hit on the back of your hand or on bare fingers will sting significantly.
MEN'S SPORT CUP
